Utilizing a Great Plains No-Till seed drill, we are able to apply the perfect amount of seed, spaced specifically and placed under the top layer of soil with minimal disturbance to the area. This is the most effective means of seeding, but is only available in large open areas due to the equipment requirements.
Hydroseeding is the method of mixing seed and water with a fiber mulch, then spraying that mixture over the area you want seeded. This seeding style is very effective with the least amount of ground disturbance. The fiber mulch creates a crust layer on top of the ground allowing the seed to germinate underneath.
Broadcast seeding is the easiest but least effective method of seeding. Usually this has to be applied several times in comparison to hydroseeding and or drilling to achieve the same results. But, sometimes it is the only method that will work for the situation, so if we can, we will work and prep the ground or follow the broadcasted seed with a culti-packer to help incorporate the seed into the ground.
What it looks like to drill seed.
Drilling seed is the #1 preferred method of seed incorporation.
